Stormont Dundas & Glengarry
The ask: One 3 min video for SDG Regional Tourism – additionally 10 x 30 - 45 sec digital friendly videos and 100-250 still frames. The focus of the video footage should be memory making experience within the SDG Region, based on our mission statement.
The delivery: By nature tourism videos are outgoing, splashy, lots of cuts, lots of content. They typically move fast with excitement and highlight the big attractions. But what makes the SDG area so special is all the smaller moments, the people, the history, the details of nature, the more intimate layers that are often left out of the big ad. This project was our opportunity to wander and find the magic.
We met the locals, explored storied nooks, found historic settings, highlighted great little shops, went way off the beaten path. We wandered earnestly, tuned into the sounds of the area, and let the locals introduce their world, to the world.
Our approach is to tell stories, do it with humanity, get into the glorious details. We created a unified video series that made locals smile and tourists stay.
