The ask: To film the Team Rubicon USA volunteer event in Sacramento supporting Afghan refugees as they assimilate into their new homes. Funded by the Archewell Foundation and an initiative spearheaded by Meghan Merkle to create a safe space for Afghan women and children.

The delivery: 500 Photos and an edited 16:9 and 9:16 video of interviews as Team Rubicon teamed up with local resettlement agencies in Sacramento to host a welcoming community resource event for recently resettlement Afghan families and individuals to continue helping them transition into their communities. A catered meal was provided by a local restaurant for the guests so they can eat with their other family members, friends, and meet others in their communities. Team Rubicon also prepared and made kits (kitchen kits, hygiene kits, cleaning kits, backpack kits) for guests that might still need some household goods. A table of other additional resources for guests was set up with resources from local resettlement agency events, a new local sewing club for Afghan women, future community gathering dates, upcoming cooking events, and more.
